14. Out In The Wild!

It’s been almost a month since the book officially launched but it feels like so many more!

There was no better place to celebrate the launch than in Somerset, UK. After collecting my first box of paperbacks from the hotel, Joti and I zipped around Bath and Bristol to take photos of the book at key locations from the novel (minor spoilers for those prepared to do some serious sleuthing!).

We also stopped by a bunch of bookstores during our travels, asking if they might consider stocking a novel that was based around the region. While there was some promising interest, most stores required that I work with a specific UK distributor so there is one more challenge for the To Do list. One store however came through for me, American Dreams Comics in Bath. Owner Steve was kind enough to take five copies off my hands and made a dream of being stocked in a physical store come true!

The launch celebrations continued upon returning to Vienna where I hosted a launch party at the bar in the UN complex. It was amazing to have so many people show up to celebrate the book’s release and handing copies out directly to new readers made the whole project feel so real! There was a flurry of sales on the night (including both of the bar tenders!) so I have now surpassed 200 copies sold!!!

It is thrilling to see feedback starting to arrive for the novel and I have even received my first few pieces of fan art!

Thank you all for helping make this dream come to life, it is so amazing to be able to say that I have a real book out in the world!
